Ali of 3 Dotted Penguins has been teaching hundreds of students from all over the world on how to carve stamps by hand, make block prints and master block printed repeat patterns with hand-carved stamps since 2020 in live online workshops and online classes. Ali typically teaches in English and German.

This June, join me, Ali Baecker of 3 Dotted Penguins, for two immersive, live online workshops designed to ignite your block printing journey: 

✨Intro to Block Printing: In this workshop, I walk you through the process of block printing from the beginning to the end. Working alongside me, you will walk out of the workshop with your first-hand carved stamp.

✨ Intro to Repeat Patterns: Learn to design and print seamless repeat patterns, building upon your block printing foundation. Working alongside me, you will walk out of the workshop with a seamlessly repeating carved stamp.

At the end of this hands-on workshop, you will know what to look out for when designing, carving, and printing tessellating blocks. Ali will share her tricks on how to achieve the best results. You will walk out of the workshop with a carved (square) block and some first seamless repeating prints.

  • know how to design a block for a seamless repetition
  • take you carving skills to the next level

  • create patterns with different tessellating shapes with ease.
  • finish the course with a final project, applying what you have learned throughout the course.
